Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password (passwords are stored encrypted; we cannot read them). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us.
- Profile: username, bio and profile photo that you choose to provide.
- Optional details: location, hometown, gender, birthday, phone number and links. You decide what to add; you control who sees your birthday, and your phone number is visible only to your friends.
- Content: your posts, photos, videos, likes, comments, follows, group posts and marketplace listings.
- Messages and calls: your chat messages. Audio/video calls and live streams travel directly between devices; we do not record or store them.
- Usage information: which videos you watched (to count views).
- Reports and blocks: whom you have blocked or reported.
How we use it
To run the app, show your content, keep the service safe and prevent spam, review reports, send notifications and emails you ask for, and in the future to measure advertising and creator earnings.
Who can see your information
Your name, username, bio, profile photo and public posts can be seen by other registered users of Bondhu, and public posts may also be visible to people who are not signed in. Your email address and password are never shown to other users.
Where information is stored
We use Supabase to store data, Cloudflare to serve the website and Resend to send emails. These providers may operate servers in different countries.
Advertising and cookies
In the future we may show third-party advertising such as Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show ads. Before ads are switched on, this section will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent. Today we only use browser storage that is needed to keep you signed in and to remember your settings.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your profile and posts at any time, and delete your account from Settings. To have all your data removed or to ask any question about it, email us at the address below.
Children
Bondhu is not for children under 13. If we learn that such an account exists, we will delete it.
